stephen's house/apt is nice. =] it was also nice seeing jessica today. yay. it's cool that she's at berk. heh.

there's something different about this season of alias. i can't put my finger on it exactly ... hrm.

so a bunch of us went to watch finding neverland today. MAN. i think that's one of my favorite movies of all time ... it was THAT good. the acting was awesome, the story was touching ... plus it had bits of humor throughout. it was SO good. it was on the sad side though ... i sat in the same row with connie zinnia, and kim, and they were all bawling. =P i teared up a little. i know it's a movie my sister would like a lot. i think my mom would like it too. i'm gonna buy it when it comes out on dvd. mm. such a touching movie, and all the characters were likeable. basically for those of you who are wondering, it's the story of how this author came up with the story of peter pan. wowwwww. it really makes you rethink the story of peter pan too. mmmmm. good movie. =] i recommend it to all. =D

s-team retreat review

so i spent my last weekend of winter break cooped up in a house with around fourteen other cal aacf servants. we vision-casted for next semester, set out objectives for our individual ministries, tackled tough issues like women in ministry and the resignation of one of the people on s-team ... but we also had fun growing closer too. some memorable stuff:

-WALKING FOOTBALL! haha. we played football in a small culdesac. we decided to play "walking" football, where everyone had to walk and you could only jump vertically. it was HILAROUS. whenever someone caught the ball, you'd see them try to speed-walk away from their defender. so weird. haha.
-big bouncy exercise ball. man. i had so much fun with pam and andy's exercise ball. haha. i got really good at balancing on that thing.
-corporate prayer ... spending an hour praying for each other. that was great.
-corporate encouragement. we wrote a message of encouragement to each person on s-team. the stuff people wrote were super encouraging.
-getting to talk to dan for the first time. haha. i'm no longer as intimidated by him. =P he's a really nice guy. =]
-late night talks both nights. had a really good talk with jason and tim the first night ... the second night i had a very cool conversation with jeff about evangelism until jeff went to sleep ... then went and had a good talk with tim and dan. =]
-"dance, dance, everybody dance. everybody dance for joy is in this place now ..." =D
-SUPER MUNCHERS and WHERE IN THE WORLD IS CARMEN SANDIEGO? =P
-vicky's ugly "strawberry bread" stuffed animal. haha. it's SO WEIRD looking. =P (for some reason all the girls thought it was cute though. haha.)
-albert taking on my "bite me" expression. =P
-dan and tim being rather ... errr ... affectionate. =P
-the Bible being a literal "stumbling block." =P jason kong tripped over someone's Bible and broke his foot. =/
-ending the retreat with communion - kinda puts things in perspective.



all in all a very good, productive weekend. =] praise God. =] i'm looking foward to next semester. heh.

don't wanna be a crutch.
