duuuuude. large group today was ... wow. just what i needed. so i woke up late from my nap ... haha. ran to euclid & hearst in like ten minutes. met at 5:45 with some s-team people, and at 6 we went to eat dinner with pastor mark labberton from first pres. pastor mark is very cool. haha. jo asked him about his favorite topics to preach about ... we talked about interpraise and its purpose ... we talked about the role of women in ministry ... it was just a good time. large group started out kinda shaky just 'cuz there were so few people today. but WOW. it was awesome. praise God! =] the message by pastor mark was very, very cool. he talked about God's sovereignty and how so often it's just some abstract idea in our head ... but really how God's sovereignty really reflects how personal He is. pastor mark spoke on 1 cor 13 and it was crazy, 'cuz you'd never think of that passage in relation to God's sovereignty ... but pastor mark tied it in. he also preached from isaiah 43 and we went verse by verse and reflected on God's sovereignty ... how God's sovereignty is so much more than some abstract idea, but really should influence our worship. tim did an awesome job picking songs today as worship team leader ... and after the message we had a really good time of fellowship too by breaking up into pairs and praying for each other. that was really, really sweet. and afterwards, i even got a chance to talk with calvin ... hear about how he's doing ... share a little about me. very, very cool. so praise God for a really really cool night. wow. on a separate note (sorta related to today, but more related to events of the past week), i really love my bros tim and albert. =] oh yeah, we got MARIO POWER TENNIS! come to my apt and we can playyyyyy! =] darkness tries to hide -bj
