The wind is moving But I am standing still A life of pages Waiting to be filled A heart that’s hopeful A head that’s full of dreams But this becoming Is harder than it seems Feels like i’m Looking for a reason Roaming through the night to find My place in this world My place in this world Not a lot to lean on I need your light to help me find My place in this world My place in this world If there are millions Down on their knees Among the many Can you still hear me Hear me asking Where do I belong Is there a vision That I can call my own Show me I'm My place in this world My place in this world Not a lot to lean on I need your light to help me find My place in this world My place in this world (Michael W. Smith, "Place In This World") nations fall -bj

stolen from justin's profile "Ponder the achievement of God. He doesn't condone our sin, nor does he compromise his standard. He doesn't ignore our rebellion, nor does he relax his demands. Rather than dismiss our sin, he assumes our sin and, incredibly, sentences himself. God's holiness is honored. Our sin is punished...and we are redeemed. God does what we cannot do so we can be what we dare not dream: perfect before God." - Max Lucado In the Grip of Grace bloomin' onions -bj

Give me one pure and holy passion Give me one magnificent obsession Give me one glorious ambition for my life - To know and follow hard after You To know and follow hard after You To grow as Your disciple in the truth This world is empty, pale, and poor Compared to knowing You, my Lord Lead me on, and I will run after You Lead me on, and I will run after You ("One Pure and Holy Passion", Mark Altrogee) cling and clatter -bj

bio labs are painfully dull ... PAINFULLY. FOUR STRAIGHT HOURS OF BIO. no good. at least i like my group though. i like them a lot. hahaha. we have fun. =] we don't seem to be the smartest people in our section though ... which could be a problem ... but at least it's more enjoyable sitting through four hours with people you like than with people you don't ... haha. we may even go eat dinner together. (gasp. out of class bonding!) haha ... but that's just so we can work on our lab report afterwards. =] so i can breathe -bj

so my hardwork on last week's cs170 hw paid off! haha. i the mean was around a 15/25 ... and i got a 19/25. WAHOO! it's kinda sad that homework is soooo had that they have to curve it. haha. =P so i just got back from an insanely long day of class. 9:30-4. sigh. killer. and a long day of homework in store too. so yesterday at our s-team meeting, i was sitting next to tim so i had to pray for him. haha ... so everyone was talking to the person next to them and asking how to pray for them ... so i ask tim what i should pray for ... and he says, "dude, you know already." heh ... sooooo, it's kinda cool that we don't really have to make special opportunities to pray for each other ... but we know what each other are going through already. heh. i came into college thinking i'd have trouble making friends with guys ... 'cuz i've always found it easier talking with girls ... but God's really blessed me with awesome brothers. i'm very grateful. heh. john cheng cracks me up. "dude, these blue and red gummy worms are sooooo good. they're AMAZING!" haha. okay, that was dumb. but it cracked me up. =P someone was playing gunbound during cs186 lecture today. makes me wanna play ... psycho-studious -bj

so today was very cool. got a lot of studying done (still tons left to do though), had an AWESOME time of accountability with dave and henry today ... went to a cs review with john ... then ate dinner with him and had a really good talk with him about over-commitment, discipleship, small groups ... that kind of thing. then we had our 2nd s-team meeting ... which was also awesome. we didn't talk business today. we just shared about our walks and spent a LONG time praying for each other (we each prayed for the person to our right ... and we each probably prayed for around five minutes ... and there were sixteen or so of us. so 16x5 = 90 ... well ... haha. okay, maybe we didn't pray for an hour and a half. maybe we each prayed for two or three minutes. haha. but still, it was awesome just being able to pray as a servant team for each of the servant team members. =] SAD pictures from BEN

had small group leader orientation yesterday ... man. God's awesome. heh. He always provides. it looks like we will have enough small group leaders this year, even though we could use more. still ... praise God. the orientation went well too. the sg leaders seem genuinely excited about sgs ... we did a quick study on spiritual leadership ... had tim share his testimony of sg leading last year ... then went over logistical stuff. good night. oh yeah, i made strawberry shortcake for the sg leaders too. haha. not as cool as my grandma's ... (she made her own shortcake variation; i just bought stuff. heh.) but people enjoyed it. =] when we asked tim what was the biggest benefit from being a sg leader last year, he said it would definitely be the relationships he formed. i can attest to that. heh. it's been a blessing knowing tim. it'll be an exciting year with the sg leaders. can't wait to see what God has in store for all of them. =] mm mm good. -bj
