large group yesterday was SO CRAZILY AMAZING. got a glimpse of God ... and was blown away. wow. it was an awesome night. after large group, i went to connie's with tim and justin ... and justin shared for like two hours about spiritual insights that God's been showing him ... it was NOICE. i'd rehash stuff he talked about ... but there was too much. justin's gonna make an awesome pastor someday. heh. but yeah, one thing that came out of justin's talk is that i've decided that i'm against dating. i'll explain why later ... stuff to do for now. heh. while at connie's, we spent like half an hour talking about winnie the pooh and winnie the pooh related stuff. haha. rock my socks -bj

power outage yesterday. not fun. it's sad how dependent we are on electricity. worked on cs170 hw again last night ... in dwinelle since my apt had no power. we worked until around 3 when jenn went home ... i continued to work until around 4:30. it's gonna be an ... erm ... interesting semester, to say the least. in this sweet surrender -bj

blah. worked on cs170 hw all yesterday night with jenn ... it's gonna be a yucky class. bah. bio (evolution) would actually be interesting if it were true ... for the most part, evolution makes sense ... but that's only because they base evolution on the assumption that there is no God. apart from God, yes. evolution might make sense. (there are still some holes) ... but put God back into the picture, and it doesn't make sense. so when we have creation vs. evolution debates, we should really be arguing for or against the existence of God because otherwise we'd just be arguing on two different planes. so i'm no evolution expert, so perhaps even with the belief that God exists, some be able to argue that evolution is true ... but i dunno. more of You in my life -bj

i've never been so sore in my life. =/ haha ... okay, yeah. i'm a whiner. still ... my body aches. i got back from playing flag football ... i was on the lines most of the time ... so i just took a shower ... there are huge red marks all over both arms as well as on my face ... i scraped up some skin from grass burn, and it hurt like crazy when i was taking a shower ... haha. i think i'll be bruised tomorrow ... but yeah, football is fun. =] i didn't feel very productive today ... just being on the lines and all ... still ... lines are important. haha. well ... i couldn't really help much on line 'cuz everyone was way bigger than me ... but i tried my best. =] blue 42 -bj

dave, john, and i are thinking of taking a hip-hop dance class. HAHA. yeah, yeah. you all can stop laughing now. i know i'm not a dancer ... =P but it sounds fun. taught richie piano basics. hahaha. he's kinda a slow learner so it was sorta frustrating ... =P but he's making progress. =P FIRST PRES WAS AWESOME TODAY. i really like it there. still have to try finding a community there though ... this made me laugh. taken from michael smith's profile. StupidOleg (1:42:47 AM): i can tell a proof from a paddle of cat's pee StupidOleg (1:42:58 AM): poddle, whatever monomial8 (1:43:06 AM): um, puddle? StupidOleg (1:43:46 AM): yes :-P connie and i met today to discuss small group orientation and small group leader training ... i'm excited! we're still short sg leaders though ... need to have faith and keep praying to be mad for my King -bj
AWESOME. TOTALLY AWESOME. so today i went to ocean beach (i think. not sure if that's the name of the beach) in sf with some AACFers for a bonfire ... i initially didn't wanna go, but i'm SO GLAD i went. lots of fun. heh. i rode with jen pung ... and we got sorta lost going there (and even more lost coming back) ... but it was all good. we got to the beach, and we started playing tackle football (upperclassmen vs. lowerclassmen). my stats: 1 dropped pass, 1 interception, and 1 tackle. HAHA. YES. tackling is a lot of fun ... except most times when i try tackling people, they drag me ten feet until other of my teammates come and help bring the guy down. :-P it was crazy ... we played like 15 on 15 or so. haha. so yeah, kinda crowded. (oh yeah, flag football at north field on monday. 2pm, if anyone is interested. =] ) we then set up the fire and had a time of worship together ... very cool. some people on the beach came by just to see what we were doing ... or they were attracted by the sound of the guitars. it was awesome that they got to see us worshipping our God. =] later, we roasted marshmallows and wieners ... and made smores and stuff. =] fun playing with fire ... =] then we played random games ... first buck-buck, which we explain as asian guys being stupid. haha. basically six guys form a 2x3 base by locking hands with the guy next to them and grabbing the guy in front while ducking their heads down ... then other guys run up and jump on the base and spread themselves flat on the base ... and we keep doing that until the whole thing collapses, or it gets too high for people to jump on. haha. the aacf record is 9 guys ... we got 6 or 7 guys today. haha. i was the second one to jump on ... and people kept jumping on ... it didn't hurt too much, but it got kinda hard to breathe. haha. and someone dislodged my contact so it went into the corner of my eye. it was weird though ... 'cuz one moment, i'm squished in between so many guys ... and the next, there's sand in my face. haha. i didn't even feel myself fall. it was almost instantaneous. lots of fun though. the girls tried to play buck-buck with themselves too ... they only got up to two girls on ... haha. =] then we played boom-chicka-boom-boom and big booty. haha. also very fun. all in all it was a really cool night. on the way back i had a really good talk with jasper ... he told me about his background ... how he went to a Christian elementary & middle school ... about how he really became serious about his faith in high school. just really cool talking with him. heh. hope he comes back to aacf. =] and mike is just an awesome guy. haha. ruth (aka "the bunny") from davis met mike the one night she visited aacf ... talked to him for like five minutes, and then told me the next day what a sweetie mike is. haha ... well ... mike is kinda a cutie. haha. not that i'm attracted to him or anything. :-P it's more his personality ... haha. he's kinda just like a big kid at heart ... and he's always smiling and happy ... and always excited about everything. anyway, he was telling us about how he was teaching kindergarden vbs ... haha ... and he taught us the hand motions that they taught the kids for "trading my sorrows" ... it was HILARIOUS ... mike was dancing all over the place. haha. awesome guy. can't wait to see him grow this next year. =] as if anyone were unclear (heh), i'm really glad that God's brought me to this community at aacf ... and i think that the freshmen that played with us today really enjoy the aacf community too. compared to other Christian fellowship on campus, aacf isn't as "flashy" ... we don't have as many events, aren't as visible on campus ... but the people and the community are awesome ... and people that visit aacf usually stay here. heh. =] it was really cool seeing the freshmen enjoying themselves today. oh yeah, one last note ... jon the freshman is CRAZY good at football. CRAZY good. haha. and he's a nice guy, too. this black guy came to join our game ... and jon tackled him ... and the guy somehow got a bloody nose ... but jon stayed with him for like ten minutes until his bloody nose stopped ... and brought him tissues and stuff. heh. ANYWAY. very cool night. the beach was purrrrrty ... and it was nice weather. =] tomorrow: safeway teach richie to play keyboard a little ... church ready cs170 stuff goodbye to you -bj
