today i made fajitas ... sooooooooo tasty ... i used chicken, green bell peppers, green onions, tomatoes, and cheese wrapped in a tortilla ... soooo good ... well, a little too much salt and a little too much oil ... but still very tasty. =D i loved it. =]

talked online with timma until 3 in the morning ... about different things ... worship, relationships, discipleship ... mmm. good stuff.

i went bowling with my ex-roommate! wahoooo. haha ... yeah, mrs. wong, mike, and i all went to albany bowl ... haha ... i was pretty off since i hadn't played for a while ... but i got better towards the end ... my last game was a 155 ... so not too bad. =]

went to watch the bourne supremacy with john, alex, and vicky. heh. definitely not as good as the first movie ... but not bad. it was very intense. it's funny watching movies with john. haha. he makes funny comments ... and both of us were kinda jumping during the scary parts ... and the preview at the beginning of the movie had us both covering our eyes and totally freaked out. =/

tomorrow's tentative plans:
berkeley marina for solitude time with jeff. (haha ... okay, well ... semi-solitude time)
meeting with angel and connie to discuss discipleship
Jesus in berkeley night at wheeler. =]

large group was ... interesting. =P

well ... it was hard to tell how many people were there 'cuz we were in evans ... and it's a pretty big room. but yeah ... i was on worship team ... it was kinda off ... i messed up like crazy ... heh. but i guess that's not the important thing ... the important thing is that we just gathered together as one body to worship God ...

we went to nation's afterwards ... there was a slight hitch getting to nation's, but it's too long to write about ... haha. but at least we got there ... i got to talk to a lot of people ... well, not a lot of people ... but i met all the freshmen (even though i don't really remember their names), and i got to talk a lot to one freshman, mike. =] very cool guy.

so it wasn't as big of a turnout as i thought it would be, but God was definitely at work ... so praise Him. =] can't wait to get to know the freshmen better ... =]

another huge PRAISE GOD. =]

today's potluck went just as well as yesterday's, even though all of us were scared there wouldn't be enough food. thanks to pons for raiding his cabinets and cooking everything he had. =]

got to meet SOOOOOOOOOOOO many cool freshmen ... i'm excited about large group tomorrow ... hopefully many will come back and see what we're really about

calvin's a cool guy to hang around ... i just talked with him a little at the table today ... but yeah ... very nice guy.

had a good talk with AMSY! wahooooooooooo. it's cool how we can go for months without talking, but we're always able just to talk and catch up without any awkardness. =] i heart amsy. =]

praise God!

that's all i can say ...

well, no. i'll expound more. haha. today was our first aacf potluck ... it was a welcome dinner for newcomers to aacf ... praise God, the turnout was awesome! praise God, we had enough food. praise God, tim was able to talk with one of the guys and ask him where he stands with God and Christianity ... praise God newcomers felt welcome and are planning to come to our first large group. praise God for the potentially new friends i have made today. praise God, praise God, praise God!

God is awesome. that's all i can say. well no, i could say more ... but what could i say that would capture the total awesomeness of God.

yeah ... had another really uplifting talk with tim today as we drove to ranch 99 to buy stuff for the potluck today. tim and i made spicy tuna rolls. a lot of people liked it. =] well, a lot of people thought it was too spicy ... but i thought they were really good. haha. =P

i'm so bad with names, though ... i probably met ten or so newcomers today ... i only remember jasper, alan, and may ... =P i gotta work on learning names. =]

but yeah, praise God ... it was a totally awesome night ...

the playroom is fun

zeeho keeps asking if i want to make naruto dolls with her. =P today she asked me if i wanted to see the doll she was working on ... and she shows me a round piece of felt that's supposed to be kakashi's head ... and that's it. HAHA. that's all she had so far. =P interesting.

today was cool ... tabled, met some freshmen, talked to some people about aacf ... then i went to play tennis. SOOOOO many aacfers there! at one point we had five of the six courts. =P but lots of fun. i like hanging out with the aacf people.

then afterwards i went to timma's place to use alex's fax machine ... we end up just talking for a long time about random spiritual stuff. such a blessing, that tim. i truly thank God for him ...

OH YEAH ... a cat came into our apartment today. apparently in the building next to us, one of the tenants has a cat. chi once helped the lady look for her cat on our side of the fence ... the cat's name is ferris. anyway, i always see ferris outside our bedroom window. today ferris came onto our balcony, and chi and i went to play with him. SUCH A FRIENDLY CAT! haha ... he lets you pet him and kind of jumps on you and stuff ... anyway, as i opened the door to go back inside, ferris meandered on into our apt. very amusing ... chi grabbed him and threw him outside. haha. silly ferris. =]

played soccer today. =P sooooo much running. haha ... plus i had never really played before. i played with steve, vicky, alex, dan, victor, and connie ... plus a bunch of other players that were at the field. i like playing defense a lot better than offense. haha ... i missed so many open shots because my aim isn't the greates. =P alex said i did pretty well though ... he said i had a good sense of where the ball was going to be ... i just have to work on my control. =] connie was trying to get me and dan to join the aacf IM soccer team. i don't think i'm good enough ... haha ... nor do i think i have the time. =P

also today we had praise team practice for the first aacf meeting of the year. (this thursday at 8pm, actually. COME! =] ) it was an awesome time of worshipping our Father ... i loved it. then i got to see jeff's apartment. very, very nice place. i like it a lot. very homey. =]

also signed up to be a signatory for aacf today ... don't think it'll be permanent though ... basically i'm a liason between aacf and the asuc ... we need 4 signatories to be officially recognized as a club ... so i think dan just needed people right now, but he'll probably switch me out later so core can be down as signatories.

last week of summer ... sigh ... it's gone by so quickly. i just know that it'll be a tough year ... but i have faith that God will carry me through ... and i think it'll be cool ... 'cuz i think i won't be able to do anything but cling tightly to Him.

this week's (tentative) events:
monday: tennis, safeway
tuesday: potluck at connie's for new freshmen
wednesday: potluck at kyle's
thursday: first large group! w00t. (rts: praise team practice at 6), going to nation's after large group
friday: hmmm ... anything on friday? i think so ... but i can't remember. =P
saturday: bonfire and / or uic event.
