i just can't give up now come so far from where i've started from nobody told me the road would be easy but i don't believe He's brought me this far to leave me down to two -bj 
so i think there was a party yesterday at the apartment building across from us. it was really loud, and i couldn't really sleep last night. =[ i just tossed and turned on my mattress. yesterday night was cool, though ... vicky came and picked me up from my house and gave me a ride to berkeley ... then we went to alex's where we were joined by joyce, kyle, and jay. kyle is hilarious. haha ... so we - what else - decided to play bridge. =P i partnered with alex, vicky with jay, and joyce with kyle. vicky and jay seemed to be having the best luck. =P but it was a lot of fun ... oh yeah, and before that, vicky, alex, and i were playing guitar ... vicky was teaching me some stuff and kinda helping me strum. =]]] today was pretty chill ... just bummed around ... did some reading for cs170 next semester (shudder. efficient algorithms.) slept a lot ('cuz i couldn't sleep yesterday night) ... played some bridge (of course =P) and watched the olympic opening ceremonies with chi and angie ... DUDE ... that was a long ceremony ... pretty interesting, though ... the opening theatrics were very cool ... me: do you think that lady is really pregnant? chi: she looks pregnant me: wait, she doesn't have a belly button! angie: oh yeah! (just then her belly starts glowing like a light bulb) angie: well i guess she's not pregnant! :-P fun, fun. haha. oh yeah, boytoy dropped by for a few minutes. that was cool. set me right -bj

dude, jason bourne is so awesome ... i wanna be like him. =] i watched the bourne identity today ... gooooooood movie. i wanna watch the bourne supremacy now, too. =]]] everything is -bj

went to the safeway on college today ... the distance is a bit further than from my old apartment to the shattuck safeway ... but i'll manage. =] i'm a pretty good shopper, imho. i only buy things that are on sale ... except for produce, which usually isn't, and really, really, cheap stuff (like ramen that costs 33 cents. =]). (well, at least the peaches, carrots, and zucchini that i buy almost every week. =P) went out with zeeho today. had a good talk with her ... she has very interesting views about evangelism ... it was awesome being able to hear her opinions. she wanted to go to crate & barrel to get a fondue pot ... so i went with her. we stop off at that shopping center by ikea (in emeryville) ... but there was no crate & barrel there ... so we went to williams & sonoma instead. then we looked at pottery barn and stuff ... zeeho then told me that she didn't know howw to get back to berkeley ... so we board the same bus line that we took to get to emeryville. we wait and the bus shows up ... except we find out that it's going to sf ... zeeho tells the bus driver that we'll just ride the bus until it wraps around and comes back to berkeley ... but the bus driver thinks we're crazy. she tells us to get off at the next bus stop, look for a different bus stop where the 47 will stop ... and then tells us to ride to san pablo and transfer to the F line. sounds good ... but we walk around for over an hour and can't find a bus stop for the 47. hahaha. eventually we found it, though ... but man. so tiring. =P we went back to zeeho's apartment ... talked with vicky & natalie ... zeeho made me dinner ... (homemade soup & homemade pizza. yam yam. =]) i came home happy. =D i like my apartment. it's very spacious. =] (the fire alarm is beeping, though ... i think the batteries may be dying or something.) tired. broken smile -bj
so ... we had a large group planning team meeting at my house today ... dave fong came 'cuz he's staff ... albert came 'cuz he's part of core ... and i was there 'cuz i represented the small group ministry. MAN ... it was a long meeting. hahaha ... a lot of going over roles ine the large group planning team ... a lot of logistical stuff. reminded me of lc / ybc council meetings ... haha. and then discussing large group topics and speakers ... hmmm ... but yeah ... i didn't give much input 'cuz i was only there to possibly discuss linking small group and large group topics ... and to give my input on topics for large group ... but it was fun. we went to fudruckers afterwards. =] now i'm back in berkeley to meet with zeeho and possibly pons to talk ministry. also plan to go grocery shopping and do some cs170 reading for next semester. (pray for me! i'm so scared about this class ... especially 'cuz i don't have any friends taking it right now ... pray that i'll meet people to study with.) =] all the time -bj
