so i played mj at vicky's yesterday ... and it was funny 'cuz kyle was watching me play ... kyle doesn't really know chinese (he's a hapa) ... but whenever someone played the eight of chinese numerals, he'd get all excited and sing the theme to the old batman show. (duh-nuh-nuh-nuh-nuh-nuh-nuh-nuh duh-nuh-nuh-nuh-nuh-nuh-nuh-nuh BAAT MAAAAN) =P

i subbed for 3rd grade core today. haha ... pretty fun ... got to read to the kids ... did worksheets and stuff ... and they're more well behaved when they're not in comp class ... haha. but at least i know the kids like comp class 'cuz when i got to the room to sub, everyone was like, "we wanna go to computer class!" awwwww. =]

vicky's party was lots of fun. =] TONS of people there ... wish i had a chance to talk to more of them ... like calvin jr or calvin sr ... but yeah. fun stuff ... played with this wrist exerciser thingymabob ... played mahjong ... and BRIDGE! bridge was lots of fun. =] it was good just seeing old faces. haha ... kinda funny watching the giants play the a's too ... 'cuz it was almost evenly split between giants and a's fans ... (boo, giants. =[ ) but yeah, lots of fun. =]

so i asked the lil kiddies (1st and 2nd graders) if they used computers before at home. probably about 95% said yes. then i asked them what they used their comps for. a lot of them said "talking online" and "e-mail." DUDE! in first and second grade?!?! haha. i didn't start using email until like my freshman year in high school ... and i didn't start using AIM until my freshman year in COLLEGE! =P

taught first and second graders today. DEAR MY. haha ... there are SO MANY of them! =P auntie judy came in when we were with them and asked if we needed help 'cuz carlton, jensen, and i looked so overwhelmed. haha ... but it was cool ... too bad there aren't enough comps for everyone ... half the kids played with microsoft's paint ... i drew a kid a blob ... and all the other kids were like, "wowwwww ... you're an ARTIST!" ... so cute. =]

so i ate deenar w/ albert yesterday ... and it was awesome. just an awesome time of sharing, hearing about his background ... man. =] it's weird 'cuz as he was sharing, i kept thinking, "dude ... that's EXACTLY like me!" albert's a lot like me. in fact, he mentioned it himself. he was like, "when i look at you, bryan, ... i dunno. i can't describe what it is exactly, but i feel this connection. you're a lot like me." heh. coooool. but then again, i see myself in almost everyone i meet. i don't know if that's a good thing. haha ... but yeah ... i see myself in boytoy, in tim, in alex, in dave, in stephen, in michael ... haha. i guess i just easily relate to people. =P

okay, i know it's bad ... but i have favorites at summer school. hahaha ... last year it was eric ai ... that dude is hilarious. he cracks me up ... unfortunately i only teach him once a week this year. boo ... but yeah, now i've found a new favorite. mikkio! hahaha ... this kid is AWESOME! he's the one who came to me on monday and shook my hand, telling me that he was a giants fan. today he came in a mark mulder shirt and an a's hat. HAHA. i love it! he talked baseball with me throughout the day. haha ... plus he's pretty well behaved too. cool guy, i think. =]

someone just paid me the biggest compliment yesterday ... she said "you're just like _____" ... (she told me not to tell this person. haha.) anyway, this person is very loud, outgoing; he has strong views about Christianity and is definitely someone that a lot of people look up to ... i saw no connection between us ... then she said it's 'cuz we both love God and it's so evident. praise God. it's awesome to hear that people can tell that i really love God, and I hope my love for God grows more and more so that it is plainly evident to all that i'm in love with God. =]

i think today is steve's birthday ... hmmmm ... i miss talking to him.

i love my aacf bros ... tim, alex, boytoy, albert, jeff, dave ... it's especially cool having dave as an accountability partner. mmmmm ... good.

dave fong says i'm built like a wrestler. dude, i so should be a wrestler. or a football player. =P

so i notice that in other campuses' ltc photos, they have few, if any, pics with berkeley people. haha. i guess we were semi-antisocial. but other campuses said we were cool ... heh. so it's oooooooooookay. i think a lot of their hangout times were late into the night ... and all the berkeley people were so drained from vision casting that we went to sleep while people hung out. =]

dude, teaching summer school is TOUGH. the kiddies are cute, but they're WILD. dear my, dear my. plus, there isn't enough equipment ... one kid, mikio, was cool though. he came in and shook my hand and told me he was a giants fan ... haha. he wasn't too happy when i told him i was an a's fan, but still ... cool kid. but yeah ... oh brother ... it was CRAZZZZZZY ... so many kids for just me and carlton ... =P
