i started reading my poly sci books today (seeing as i have eight books to read, i figured i should get a jump start) ... anyhoo ... it's pretty interesting, although it's taking me a while to read it ... i always have to go back and digest what i'm reading ... i need to start reading faster ... anyway, it's about inclusion and it's role in the democratic process. the author's premise is that for democracy to truly be effective, all affected parties must be included in the democratic process. she goes on to describe the two generally accepted models of democracy (aggregative and deliberative), and goes on to propose her own version ... a little heavier than my courtroom dramas that i'm used to reading, but interesting nonetheless ... we'll see how this class goes ... :-/ clear as mud. -bj

doot doot doo da doot doot dee doo fridays are designated card days ... or at least that was the tradition last year in the dorms. today, the tradition continued. kenny, mary lou, and oleg came by and we played dai hee me. fun stuff. kenny wu is a fun boy. =D so let's see ... apartment life is awesome. so many people have come by to visit. let's recap ... ummm ... tuesday: pat, andrew, jocelyn ... wednesday: andrew (he stayed overnight), vince, william ... thursday: tiff, willy, julian, alan, anthony ... friday: mary lou, kenny wu, oleg ... :-D ... i feel so loved and so poopuler. :oD yay! as fun as apartment life is, it feels nice to be home for the weekend. deafening silence -bj
dum da dee dum dum alan, julian, anthony, and william came over yesterday ... we went to eat pizza ... not my choice, though. i would rather have stayed in ... oh well ... i was a good friend and went out with them. i don't like splitting meals, though. i don't eat as much as most people, but since we all shared pizzas and salads, we had to split the bill evenly ... :-w ... anyway, then we came back and watched three episodes of konjiki. tiff also came over yesterday. funtimes. had a good talk with her. oh yeah, i forgot to post about the day andrew stayed overnight ... anyway ... he got hit by a car. ahahahaha. we were throwing the football around in the field, and i threw him a pass. he bobbles it and it goes into the street. he chases after it just as a car is backing into a parking space. the car bumps andrew. andrew grabs the football and runs. the lady gives him an evil glare. ahahaha ... gonna look at a futon at 12, then oleg is coming! =) ... then i'm going home for the weekend ... alalalala. crash and burn -bj

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRISTINE!lalala ... so today i went to meet with my counselor, but apparently he will not be in this week ... then i went to the tang center and set up an appointment for next wednesday when someone will check out my ear. :-D ... hmmm ... then i went to ned's and bought books for my poly sci class ... for my poly sci class alone, i spent close to $140! boooo ... eight books ... what a killer. then tiffany came over, and now alan and anthony are supposed to come ... it's been nonstop people over at our place ... lalalala. and then a hero comes along. -bj

so ... what a day ... just got back from the a's game ... i went with chi, michael, vince, big willy, and julian ... good stuff. i wore my lucky a's t-shirt ... not too lucky since the a's lost and mark mulder didn't pitch too well ... still a lot of fun, though. i like baseball games. we ended up getting coupons for free pepsis because the a's threw eight strikeouts ... good stuff. i'm still a mark mulder fan. mark mulder fan for life! :-D but to recap my day: set off the fire alarm twice, got locked in the garage for a good half hour, had the fire department come to our apartment for some unknown reason (long after me and michael set off our fire alarm), and watched the a's lose ... oh well ... the free pepsi made it all worth it. :-D tsk tsk. -bj
apartment life is cool. not only can you set off smoke alarms, but you can get locked in the garage for long periods of time ... both of which happened to me in a span of an hour ... fun stuff. haha ... first michael and i were making omlettes and the fire alarm kept going off ... kinda annoying ... then i went to take the garbage downstairs to the garage ... but i didn't know the door locked and i didn't have my keys, cell phone, or wallet ... so i just waited by the door and whenever i heard the elevator, i knocked like crazy ... anyway, i thought michael or chi or andrew would miss me ... but they didn't ... so i was there for like twenty minutes when a car pulled into the garage ... luckily the girl was really nice and let me in. :-D ... what a fun day ... and the day's just begun! aaaah see ben ya ... mamama me ci ah va -bj
i love my apartment ... it's yummy ... so cozy ... i love the shower, especially ... ahaha ... i wanna live here forever! :-D ... the only bad thing is the cars ... kenny ims me today and says "i know where you live" i thought it's 'cuz i put my address in my aim profile. instead i find out that it's 'cuz he was driving down oxford and he saw me in the window ... scary harry. boom chakalaka -bj

so ... i went to the dentist today ... fillings are fun! haha ... they said it's not really a cavity, just some sort of groove thingy ... my mouth is hurting right now ... booo ... it hurts to open my mouth. i'm in my apartment right now. michael and i just did our first round of grocery shopping ... pretty fun stuff ... :-D ... come over and i'll cook for you ... ahaha ... anyway, i'm here now ... just chilling. i love my apartment ... so homey ... i saw fireworks from the freeway -bj

i was gonna type "alalalalala", but i see i started my last post like that ... anyhoo ... today we helped my mom move from room 29 over to room 33? (miss wong's room, not sure about the number) ... hmmm ... the low point of the day was having a pepsi can burst all over the place and all over my pants ... no fun at all ... i was all wet and sticky ... :-P bum badda bum bum ummm ... don't have much to say today ... elementary, my dear -bj
